Weather Cam
The club has recently installed a live outdoor cam to give some idea of weather and water levels on Casterton Fell.
The cam points at the gear washing pond next to the farm building which has a small dam. Water flowing over the dam – probably quite wet. Water not flowing over the dam – probably ok. If a lot of water is coming down the track, it’s also an indication of wet conditions, but there is always a degree of seepage from the fell. If the track water is going down the drain by the gate on the right, it will be very wet. Also, if there is snow on the track then the metalled road up to Bullpot Farm might be impassable.
