A mouse’s tale,  or is it tail?

I’m a little furry creature and I live at Bullpot Farm

They’re really kind and generous and mean us no real harm

Except for ‘Ray the Catcher’, he sets out loads of traps

But others throw them out the door, stupidity perhaps

I’m a little furry creature and they feed us reet well here

My brothers, sisters, cousins are all of great good cheer

Last week they left us Cous Cous and even Cheerios

But Ray had just filled all the traps to keep us on our toes

I’m a little furry creature, I love that polystyrene

I found a new Soreen Malt Loaf hidden in between

Some Tesco Fruit and Nut Muesli and Classic stuff as well

I’m putting on a bit of weight, I say, can you tell

I’m a little furry creature I’ve eaten through a freezer

To get the lovely Bacon that was left there by some geezer

I’m partial to a pepper or some mouldy old green mushrooms

But the shadow of ‘Ray the Catcher’, always over us it looms

I’m a little furry creature electric cables are my favourite

I’ll drag it back to my little den so that I can savour it

It causes havoc when I’m done with sparks and fires and stuff

But what the hell is what I say, I just can’t chew enough

I’m a little furry creature and it’s warm and cosy here

And it’s getting chilly now as it’s the closing of the year

So keep feeding me that real good food, so I’m nice and fat

And very soon you’ll hear the sound of great big juicy Rats
