Pippikin Pot

After making a dam across Easegill to help divert more water into the Crumbles to try to blast the mud away between Lancaster and Pippikin we went down Pippikin. We soon reached the Hall of the Ten. From here Redwall Chamber was visited and a complex way into White Wall Chamber. Eventually the long dry passage to Gour Hall was explored, stopping en route for food.
Gour Hall consists of a large chamber with a high roof-fall. at the top of which fine gours lead down to the level that the passage should go on. A small crawl leads to a lower section that is loosely blocked with mud and rocks. A dig of 5-10’ may lead to the continuation, which should go for at least 1/4mile. To the right in Gour Hall an aven slopes up at 75degrees for 40’ - well covered with flowstone - looks climbable, especially with pitons.
The exit was plagued by the fact that the system shrank, usually when I was going through the tight bits!
