Sunday 14th July. Wensleydale.
Sunday saw a motley bend of veteran cavers in the Northen Dales, the average age of the party approaching the golden age of 40. The veterans were suitably impressed with a fine cave, plenty of water and large chambers. The Party consisted of, John Conway (it's a long time since I was the youngest in the party), Bev Stevens, suffering from hay fever, Frank Croll, with a bad back, Johnny Wilkinson, with rheumatism in his left hook and Jim Newton, as fit as a top.
